Your hand is always there
to take my hold, but admittingly
mine is not often stretched
to take its loving grasp.
When foothold slips, and valley
lies far below, it’s with fear
and human prayer that
this hold I hastily seek.
Amidst insecure’s wrap from
folly’s conduct, pleas escape
from beating heart, and hand
in trust outstretched for grasp.
In humble forgiveness’ yearn
my soul seeks comfort’s safe return,
and with hands stretched in praise
my spirit locks into loving Hand.

Wow, this is very interesting. I really like it a lot. There's obviously a lot of emotion in it.
My only complaint is that it seems a little wordy in parts. But other than that, i like this a lot. Thanks for entering it in my contest! -
I do like the title it paints the picture in my mind as the border simple yet i feel supports the poem and the picture prompt. Loving hand stretches out and all the you say in your lines i feel inside of me.
I am thinking with my heart of the love i give to the man who holds my love as i hold his. I feel many will relate to this piece in many different ways...the spirituality speaks
thank you for the pleasure of this well crafted poem. I wish you well in the contest.

Wow isn't true it is hard to recieve for some that is for sure. The title Lovin hand is brilliant and the first line Your hand is always there and the last line my spitit locks into loving Hand. Oh the content of this poem is a excellent write. Good luck to you in the contest. An excellent poet you are. Love Kelle Marie, stavykm

everyone avoids reach for that offered hand when not needed at times and reaches for it when in need it's part of a thoughtful mind to not reach for more than what they need and everyone has times when they need to grasp an offered hand up.And that hand of trust is a good hand to grasp and humble is a worthy hand to give safe return. I like the message in this write and enjoyed the read thanks for entering and good luck in contest ***

What is comforting is that His hand is ever outstretched and never out of reach. I could also read this on a more mortal level as well. Best wishes in the contest. I'll give you three pairs of hands..lol.
Sincerely,

A beautiful reflective write ...
written on two levels: the hand of compassionate love, often overlooked, and then the Hand of Rescue and Forgiveness, searched in a moment of fear and angst. You immediately placed the reader in an introspective mode. How often we do not appreciate the ever present support of our beloveds; and how we disregard His Hand in moments of safety ... And neverending his Patience and his Mercy; and eternal the love of those who are gifted to us ...
Thank you for sharing a deeply honest and sincere poem, with a truly divine message: on stretching out both hands in praise, His are there to lock in safe grip.
Love
Myra
