As they walked along that city street
She started to fall over her own feet
Her Bacardi breath made him quickly retreat
Just as he was about to kiss her in a heartbeat
She turned to her suitor with bloodshot eyes
The very kind he had grown to recognize
Her salty tears could no longer be compromised
She had to reveal to him her bedroom lies
For as long as they've been so deeply in love
She had found other men to think of
Regretting her commitment, she admitted thereof
She committed to cheating, betraying their love
She believed he would detest her very existence
So she began to create a safe distance
He tried to hold her but she put a resistance
She gave in as a result of his persistence
He said, "Au contraire, I do not detest you,
I know commitment for you is a bit new,
Of course what you did was not the best, true
But nevertheless, you know I still love you"
He avoided the Bacardi breath emitting from her mouth
And kissed her just before she could pass out
