Hi – Thanks for the comment . .

I just made up a short verse so that I could put the picture on AllPoetry to give Renee an advanced view of what was in the post LOL – I had forgotten about it and I suppose I should delete it now the excitement has passed . . as it is not really a poem.

    Albert.

    Oh my dear Albert...

You will not believe how overwhelmed I am at this gift. It is really a show of favor that I am getting this map from you. The artist (friend) who I asked to feature her artwork in my space, creates her own window box frames for her art. She has a series of works where you must view both sides of her painting(s). She creates the boxes herself for those works, and said she would design the box for this historical document free of charge.

I feel so blessed to know, and love so many around the world. My poetry, and kinships are serving my life to the highest degree. I am truly shown favor daily. Little Miracles pop up all over the place but when the big ones happen...I am taken aback (in an extremely good way). You are a gigantic Miracle in my life. Thank you dear brother, and friend for being ever-present, no matter how many waters separate us. Thank you for your generosity and kindness, but most of all...thank you for your words.

Always in Honor & Respect ♥

    Renee

A smooth flow and a way to go within this short, but oh so sweet rhyme to relinquish the hold on brothers and sisters of different coloured skin who were forced to carry the burden of the racists sin...
I am glad you made a sister smile!
The write is worthy not of gold but platinum.
    One love,
    Yvette

      Thanks . .

Thank you for your comment - but it was not really a rhyme - but was meant as a fun note to Renee my long time frind on AP who I had promised to send the Map of the slave states that I happened to have in my desk in UK - a few days ago I arrived in UK and can now post it to her at last - I put the graphic up there to give her a little idea of what it is like . .as I am sure she will be excited.

      Regards Albert.

    Slavery ended . .

The legal end to slavery was in December of 1865 when the 13th Amendment was ratified.

The map was printed three years before that date . .
