"The Good Fight"

Just for a moment I'd like to reflect back to a time
When I was running wild in the streets and losing my mind
I done some things to bring shame,I done some things to bring pain
Done some things for a reputation and to bring forth my name
Now I've come along way and I'm not ashame to say
If it wasn't for our Lord Jesus Christ,I wouldn't be standing here today
I know I've been delivered from the things that had me bound
But this fight ain't over its just the start of the second round
I thought when I first got saved that everything was going to be alright
But O'Satan let me know he wasn't giving up this body without a fight
This battle ain't been easy, I've taking some headshots and some bodyblows
I have to meditate on the "Word" day and night to keep me sharp and on my toes
Now Satan don't fight fair,you got to watch him cause he's slick
He's got some concealed weapons and a big bag of tricks
The good thing about it is that God ain't gonna leave us hangin
because He knows O'satan is tough
That's why He gave these instructions{Bible}for when the battle gets rough
One thing we must remember cause O'Satan don't want us to know
That its a fact he lost the fight a long time ago.
But Satan is not going to give up just because he lost the first bout
He's going to keep on getting up in your face till we learn how to knock him out
Now don't think for a second because he's laid out that he's gone
Just as soon as we put our guard down the fight is going to be on
I can't be discouraged cause I must always fight and never rest
I believe this fight will continue on until I shed this flesh
But what is so satisfying to know is that the battle is not mine or yours
I'm but just a small warrior in this Great Battle between good and evil taking orders from the LORD!!
