Trauma forever hidden

So many have it,
some share it,
other hide it.

Hidden, I keep,
from all those prying eyes
away from fearful ones
who label me a freak.

Retard, capper, loser...

So many friends have been lost,
many more will go,
so hidden it remains.

Author notes

Ok. I have Attention Deficit Disorder. Yeah, I know, fairly common. It really has affected my life. THis poem is about how people don't care to find out if you are normal or not. You have one tiny imperfection, and they label you a retard, a freak.

Just a personal Experience.

Oh I grew up with that torture. I was booksmart as they came as a child, but just because I was hyper and could not hold my attention span long enough, I got treated like shit. You wrote this well in such a short piece. Good luck in the contest!

thank you for your comment. Yeah, its why I tend to hide it. I've lost too many friends to purposely lose more.

      Again, thanks!
