hint of rage

Missing image
I would surrender
 but
to who.
I would beg but my lips are frozen
with indifference caused by silence.
I would cry but my eyes have
been blinded by those around me.
I would love you
but you broke the only
thing I had left to give.
My heart.

Please tell me what you think

I can so relate to this one right now in my life! More than you would believe! I just hope your pain is not as deep. Such a powerfully emotional poem! Great write!

You sure say a lot with a very few carefully chosen and well used words, ma'am. A lot said, and a lot felt from them. I might ask about ... and still might.

    my lips are frozen...

You have such a wonderful grasp of the language my talented friend! You can take a few words of sadness and meld them together into a thing of beauty... Great work!
