A friend who hurts is a friend in need
But what do you do when words no longer comfort
When a gentle hug no longer pleases
When no matter what you do you can not help
Do you turn away or do you jump in with both feet
I have a friend whose hit rock bottom
Who most left to die on her own
She is loyal and true and always there
When I see her face mine lights up
She where’s many masks that
Not many see through
When she rants and raves about the injustice
But I love her still
No matter what
I love her when
She has pushed me away
I loved her when everyone else
Turned away
I loved her
When she stood her ground
I even loved her when she forsake all
I’ve lifted her head
When she swallowed her pride
I’ve held her tight
When she screamed loud enough to wake the dead
I’ve stood beside her
When she could no longer stand
I even held her hand
As the tears fell
I’ve fought her battles
When she no longer had the strength
I’ve stood there
When she told me to just go away
I held her tight
When she collapsed
I helped her flip the bird
To those who needed it
I helped her through the thick and thin
I helped her dig
The hole too bury them all
And I’ll be there to dance on their graves
When justice is done
For you see the friend is need is me
And the one who stood bye through it all
Was the scared child who hides within

This hurts to read, because I've been there so many times with my closest friend. It hurts so much when yu try to help them, but it seems like you never can. She's a lucky person to have a friend as caring as you, and I'm sure it's the same for her. Good luck in the contest, very beautiful poem
