A maze of thoughts,
the mind that brought
your sanity to us now.
The doors and rooms,
the roof that looms,
over what should be where and how.
and who and what and why,
you ask, and when, as well, you want to know.
But what is it about this brain,
this thought, and what makes it go?
Does it have an 'on' and 'off' switch,
or 'mute', even, perhaps?
Suppose there are little buttons, as well,
just to fill in the gaps.
Would there be a volume switch,
and a channel-button, too?
A trigger to trigger the mind you have,
to change the moods of you?
What is it about this mind of yours,
so gentle and at peace.
But i think there's something missing here...
These buttons are incomplete.

It's a beautiful poem and I enjoyed it a lot, but I don't see how it fits into my contest.

So....
i really like this write, I am kinda sad that it was not written for my contest but it is good none the less. -
Very good write. Captures the thoughts anyone with PTSD has, as I read that as the option you selected. I have asked so many times if there was an off button, it would be so nice. This poem has good flow, good meaning, good grammar, and purpose. Excellent write.
