for so long,
every night I pray,
that you will return and be mine.
You say that I’m so strong.
You think I don’t cry,
but you are so wrong.
I cannot help but wonder, why?
You say we’ll be together forever,
and I believe all that you say.
Even after I know the pain I must endeavor,
I cannot wait until you come home to stay.
A bond so deep,
that even when you’re here,
I still weep,
for all my fear.
You’re the best I ever had,
and I hate letting you go.
When you’re gone I get so sad,
and the time passes so slow.
So many dislike that we’re married,
I guess that they just don’t understand,
all the pain we’ve already carried.
Some even say that our love should be banned.
But regardless, I’ll be here through all your callings.
Many may wonder, why?
Because I love you forever and ever and always,
And our love is Semper Fi.
Author notes
This is written about my Fiancé who is currently training to leave for a second term in Iraq!! We are to be married this December and every is telling us that we shouldn't. But we feel that it doesn't matter when we marry because we will be together any way! He currently lives in Hawaii and i live in Ohio! So I rarely get to see him. I have been with him sence before boot camp. I have went over 3 months with out talking on the phone to him, just a letter once a week and 11 months and fourteen days without seeing him. I guess this is'nt notebook love but if you ask me it's way stronger!
