We tell tall tales
Of brave and mighty heroes.
We speak of the darkness
Within the hearts of villains.
We like our world so clear
We like our reality so clean.
But the truth is very different
The truth is so very hard to bear.
Our enemies have wives and children
They bleed the same as we.
We slaughter them and call it just
As they slaughter us we call it evil.
We weave tales of glory
To justify our deeds.
As in ages past we vilify
The deeds of our foes.
I dare you to look upon the face
Of a child grieving for his father.
When you see the hate in his eyes
That you yourself have planted.
The cycle of violence shall never end
There is much more blood to spill.
Children will grow to hate
Each side will justify it's cause.
Please tell me what you think

Sad isn't it? Nice to see you writing something.
