I tell myself that I've only seen you once
And you for me likewise
But that sweet night so long ago
As my memory- dies
I look at your face and stand in shock
That noone can even compare
Seeing you is just so real
I forget that I stare
Its just a comfort complex
Seperating me despite
The love we found together
On aforementioned night
I listen to you eagerly
But can't think what to say
Being so transfixed with amazement
And appreciating the day
Just like how when I'm with you
I'm in an art museum
I notice all the artist's details
And wish that I could be him
In this case I cannot be God
But I can finally see
The author of perfection
Somewhere in your beauty
I know its all been said before
I know its nothing new
I'm just another love-struk fool
Waiting here for you

"Just like how when I'm with you"u might wanna remove the word "how" or play with the sentence a little
This is a pretty nice poem. A little dry, but i think it works ok for this poem. I like the whole God idea. works well :-)
Overall, it's pretty Sweet!
