I went to write this poem for you,
and really didn't have a clue.
What to write or how to start,
or even if I would mention farts.
The contest that lasts eternally,
I suppose my poem could too, we will see.
Every week add a new stanza,
love this week, next about a Panda.
A lot of options for a lengthy contest,
but rhyming is what I do the best.
Or maybe not, to read some of my critiques,
I consider them Jackjaws flapping their beaks.
I really don't have a direction, I'm going to go,
so if I bore you, won't you please let me know?
My poetic lines can get languidly longer as the merry muse gets all wound up,
shorter if told, shut-up.
A Haiku for those wishing a little of the Orient:
An endless contest
poems of all genres entered -
write it, forget it.
See I followed the 5/7/5 format, although you don't have to,
but the Haiku teacher will get mad at you,
if you do it that way and not have an Ahh-Ha moment,
will make you do the lesson over until you repent.
Maybe a Limerick for a bit O'fun.
There once was a fellow named Ted E Bare
who was losing all of his lustrous hair
had many active AP wives
a few mistresses on the side
if he gets more than 5 together, beware
I think I'll stop this one for now while I can,
and let my overworked muse come up with a plan.
On how to add to this poem,
as long as this contest goes on.
Maybe I'll be back, we will see.
