Sarah become all you've wanted to be
The mother of earth, and the mother of sea
Your feet in my chest, beside the fire light
The boys you all loved are just stars in the night
Guarding waterfalls deep in the woods
You're naked in the tall grass, singing well and good
And I am clothed, wandering towards the sound
Break my bones, and take my mouth
Chorus:
The ships have left me somewhere in between
The new world and the old queen
But here I see what life can be
A drifting soul on the endless sea
You make me a shelter of mountain and wounds
And I slumber beside blood and stone
I curl inside your ovaries and drink from the sap
And you dig me a hole inside your lap
The wind is my friend, I chase her around
With the world to my back, I am free now
And mother nature turns me to soil
I am this earth
I am this soil
Chorus:
My ears hear for the very first time
My tongue sweats over this life
The wild berries crushed over my flesh
I bath in the forest, Sarah, she rests
Bridge:
Can woman be God?
The world birthed from her arm
My life sculpted in lovely chaos
What does structure do to us?
I sleep in my mothers stomach
Like a parasite in shame
And I grow into an asshole
Only chasing fame
Sarah forgive me
Turn me back to soil
Paint me in dirt
Love me-
Mother earth
