My blood boils, listening to your lies
The stories from your fairytale world
Where you pretend to be a good mother
While I'm crying in the confusion
As your greedy hands wrap around my heart
Choking the love and happiness from me
Robbing me of my childhood bliss
Trying to hold me captive in your sick world
Haunting me with false hope
Trying to lure me back in
To a relationship of candy coated poison

I absolutely love this poem. The way you worded it and the form is amazing. I like how you described her world as a fairytail world with sugar coated poison. Very clever (sp?). I think this is deffinately going on the favorites list.

wow. this is definitely very different than anything I've read. I mean, a failed love story is something we see everywhere, but the way you used the candy in it, made it seem some how sweet - too sweet. Even bitter, which I guess was the point. Very smart idea. Good job!
