on mucker's mountain
clear cut, barren
i recognized her by the clothes
she was wearin
I saw mercy mary
on her knees
prayin for god's murdered trees
... and the town folks called her crazy
mascara smeared
her white face cryin
word was she was dirty
.. i knew they was lyin
i may have only been a child then
when i looked into mary's weeping face
and though she'd know'd too many men
heaven knew her from another place
and backwoods judgments
can be junkyard dog mean
but a child's heart
knows what it's seen
because when mercy mary spoke to me
my soul and spirit never felt so clean
yeah, when mercy mary spoke to me
my soul and spirit never felt so clean
clear cut, barren
i recognized her by the clothes
she was wearin
I saw mercy mary
on her knees
prayin for god's murdered trees
... and the town folks called her crazy
mascara smeared
her white face cryin
word was she was dirty
.. i knew they was lyin
i may have only been a child then
when i looked into mary's weeping face
and though she'd know'd too many men
heaven knew her from another place
and backwoods judgments
can be junkyard dog mean
but a child's heart
knows what it's seen
because when mercy mary spoke to me
my soul and spirit never felt so clean
yeah, when mercy mary spoke to me
my soul and spirit never felt so clean

Excellent
People seem to under rate what they do not understand, rushing to judgment seems to be a common human trate. This woman is painted as clear as dawn, wonderfully done.

This has all the soul needed to make it great. Imagery paints the pictures we see before time and cynicism ruin the view and make us just like all the others pointing fingers and making judgments. You don't have to be perfect to have heart.

Why thank you so much, for your words that inspire and for reading me... I did have music in my mind when I wrote it. To me poetry and music/rhythm are so intertwined it is hard to distinguish the difference. Again THANK YOU!

You know it was only towards the end I realized this rhymed. Heaven knows I hate rhyming poetry and this is quite amazing really. I didn't mind it at all! This honestly is some good stuff.
