Down a path of right or wrong
There lies a great big choice
The wrong path looks oh so great,
But then I hear your voice.
Down the path of right or wrong,
A straight line you must take,
Down the path that you know is right,
Even if it only brings on pain.
You are there when I need you,
Never leaving me alone.
It's impossible to get lonely with you around,
My best friend.
You've gave me strength through hard times,
Taught me to move on.
I've learned to let old friends go,
They just hang on imperfection.
You've taught me more than you know,
What a textbook couldn't teach.
How to deal with loss
Or turn my anger into stories.
You have kept me alive,
That I must say is so.
But at least I know
That you can never, ever go.
The night cries out through the window,
Pounding on my door.
I start to believe you'll be here,
To help me once more.
But then I realize
With a flash of reality,
You are just a figment of my imagination,
and were never here at all.
There lies a great big choice
The wrong path looks oh so great,
But then I hear your voice.
Down the path of right or wrong,

Down the path that you know is right,

Author notes
Sort of a edited version of a past poem I wrote.
It's about my imaginary friend, (option #5.) Jaden. He's sort of my sanity, but in other ways my insanity because he's that little voice inside my head that contradicts what my little voice says. But, in the end, he's always right. So..
