Deathbed partings

Oh my heart is fill with joy
to see all my love ones
around me during my final hour
and now my darlings
before God takes my breath
I will tell you where to find
a precious treasure
that I have kept hidden for years
just to give you as inheritance.

The map and directions are kept,
(cough), kept, (cough).....

(What fun is dying
if you can't leave them
with a practical joke
they'll never forget?)

This is a very sad poem and it's the first to have been written towards loved ones and that alone makes this one stand above the rest and it was written with alot of emotion which i could feel when i read it. Thank you for entering and best of luck.
