Shattered Glass, Broken Relflection

Shattered glass, broken reflection,
Tears are pouring from blood shot eyes,
Blood is dripping from fragile skin,
Mascara running down her cheeks.

A young girl stares into the mirror,
Shattered glass, broken reflection,
Trying hard but she still can't see,
All the beauty within herself.

Perfection is all she longs for,
Like the models in magazines,
Shattered glass, broken reflection,
Why doesn’t she just look like them?

Imperfections seem so awful,
A lost young girl trapped in the glass,
A mirror is thrown in self-disgust,
Shattered glass, broken reflection.

i just learned what a Quatern is and thought i would try one out. not the best, i know, but i tried lol.

A Quatern is a sixteen line French form composed of four quatrains. It is similar to the Kyrielle and the Retourne. It has a refrain that is in a different place in each quatrain.
The first line of stanza one is the second line of stanza two, third line of stanza three, and fourth line of stanza four.
A quatern has eight syllables per line. It does not have to be iambic or follow a set rhyme scheme.
