I've learned many things great and small
I've learned to eat fast
So I won't be the last to get dessert
Turning up the music won't drown them out
It only makes them scream louder
Getting dirty is fine
As long as you wipe your shoes off
Laughing at burping and farting is ok
When you're in your house
I've learned that everyone can throw a fit and cry
Because we all need our mommies to kiss us and make it better
When you want to say something say it
Or it will never get spoken
Sharing helps unite us
Even if it's just a piece of candy
But most importantly I've learned to love and love and love some more
Because that is all we can do when things get tough is love
Viewing the world from a kid's eye gives you a joy you've haven't felt since you wore size 4\5 clothing and still wore bows or still played with power rangers
It gives you the gift of innocence

I really enjoyed your insights, and laughed about getting the last (usually smallest!) dessert! The lessons about sharing and loving are vital ones for living. Nicely done!

So True, indeed it is..
I sometimes wonder what it would have been like if I had any sibs.. O well..
Having my daughters' friends around teaches me much..
And keeps me young (well, my mind at least )
Keep writing !!!

Thank you for sharing this, it made me think of growing up and how wonderful it was.

I can share your words, I see in my two boys now, they are so much this is a lot of ways. Caring one minute and the next act like they could do mortal combat. Good write and thanks for sharing your work.
