Talon gazes
possessing lurid tentacles,
burrowing barbs
into clarity's pulse.
Toxic ethereal vibrations
shroud as Elysium hallucinations
murmuring subtle seductions
as reliance corrosives
for conscience's membrane.
Concubine phantoms
secreting passions,
left languishing
in wasteland,
wondering
if love is a cancer.

'If love is a cancer'
That line just brings so much thought to mind. I think some that may have been hurt deeply and repeatedly would view love as such. I, also think that those of us whom are hopeless romantics see love as a grace that is bestowed upon us. You have stitched together some wonderful verbaige creating an astounding piece of poetry.
