Heart hidden in plain view
love offered in cupped palms
etched on cavern walls
within caring souls,
such things
unrevealed to sealed lids
missed by empty thoughts
sands through fingers, idle hands;
found in eyes that see
all of me.

Excellent Write
Well this reminded me of when I was a kid, and I was so absentminded. I'd be lookind for whatever I was told to find, but could not see for looking.
Then at times it was right there everyone could see it but me. I loved this read it took me back into the past.............novy

I am so guilty of not seeing things right in front of me..and become confused when I realize...it was there all the time.. mini-epiphanies...

So very well done here. Thank you for entering and good luck in the judging. La x

This reminds me of my dad when he used to ask us to get something for him and we couldn't seem to find what he wanted us to find. He would say; "you can't see for looking". I was often confounded by that statement. I am a bit more mature now and know exactly what he meant at this stage in my life. LOL
Your words are poignant, and leave the reader with much to digest after thought. Sometimes we offer ourselves up and the recipient is looking so hard they look right past what's so openly presented to them.
Loved this! There is wisdom written here. The best to you in the challenge if it has yet to be judged.
Much Love ♥
