Far away you worked in silence
Your mind focussed and deep in magic
Safe from hatred and the worlds violence
And worried not of all that's tragic
You searched the void with shining eyes

Hidden amongst the dreadful lies
Of the worlds words and sinful funfair
The magic mirror wept stories dark
You dismissed them with a gesture
For the liar, the predator, the emotion shark
Will take your love and fester
Each heart you looked at had a flaw
Each mind of sex and violence
Each whispered word and broken law
Ushered your dreams to silence
One day I stared into your mirror
For love will never hide
You turned and saw, a light, a shimmer
The mirror crack'd from side to side
For one small moment the universe turned
And our minds formed a connection
Ah but now you have your fingers burned
And you seek to avoid detection
Remember this for it will come again
Whether here or heavens gate
A connection stays forever my friend
Remember your soul-mate
For whatever your spirit lacked
Was changed beyond compare
That very moment your mirror crack'd
