Judging the Forsaken

Speech goes in one ear and out of the other,
No one stops for even a second to think of another,
They're all in it for themselves and their mind,
Yet maybe for a second things would be better to be kind.

This won't happen, there's no reason to pretend,
It's hard to grasp the concept, or just to comprehend,
Evil lurks dormant in souls and in the darkness of the heart,
Hidden in the shadows waiting for a way to depart.

Should those with the hidden hurt forsake the others within,
Or maybe sit back and take all the pain with a grin?
Pretend everything is alright and dandy of thought,
Though no one will consider what the others have brought.

Can one truly be open when the pain tears away the inside,
And the hurt constantly rips away the shreds of pride,
The forsaken call out and beat down the pieces of soul,
Which in the end is what always takes the biggest toll.

Fear and anger are motivators and corruptors akin,
Yet for peace to survive there has to be a way to begin,
When no one can talk without critisism and fear,
Life will continue to go on with many a tear.

You are so young yet you write this. I like it as poetry and I like it as a thought provoking piece. Wherever your career takes you I hope you will find time to keep writing too. Well done.
