The whole world
Linked tightly
One long stretch
Of green ribbon
Gently dipped
In the eternity
Of a sweeping sea.
Everything seemed
So perfectly matched
Every land’s lips
Kissed never ending.
Every blade of grass
An important piece
In an intricate puzzle
A colorful pattern.
But just like mankind,
Rotten apple in this tree
Even the elements
Destroyed mercilessly.
With their fuming anger
They slowly burned
Pangea’s only diary.
Never again shall our eyes
Of any color, of any kind, set sight
On the forgotten recordings
The lingering lullabies
Of a past too distant for our lives.
Author notes
the title aionios means eternal in greek though the alphabet isn't right of course...

Returning The Favor
Can't get my head around this one - the first verse is great - I found the rest awkward a bit - because I am a rhymer and that makes it difficult to comment - and our belief systems are different - but keep on writing - Bless God - Joe
