I opened a book and began to read.
Oh how I loved a Western.
At once I knew Lucy would be the one,
who would have all the fun.
She was wild and headstrong.
Soon I was swept way to the desert.
Surrounded by horses and Indians,
cowboys and cattle, adventure and love.
even a villain or two.
Yes Lucy was a lucky girl.
But the one I fell in love with
was not her hero nor the villain.
The one that won my heart
was a horse named Wildfire.
Hey what can I say I was only nine.
He became my friend and in my dreams,
He took me where ever I wanted to go.
Author notes
I still love the book

This is another take on "fell in love". It's not quite what I was expecting, but it is still a very compelling and valid entry. Also, wasn't this book turned into a TV show for a while? It sounds familiar
