Sung At Her Own Funeral

Missing image

She sung at her own funeral,

this precious little girl.

Among us only ten short years,

then taken from this world.

Her voice was of an angel's,

everybody loved to hear.

Standing beside her mother,

 facing the people without fear.

Together they would sing,

to the mighty Lord above.

They sung heartfelt praises,

as they worshiped Him with love.

Other times she stood alone,

with her angelic voice.

Capturing the hearts of everyone,

tears falling without a choice.

So very unexpectedly,

 she fell to the ground.

While her little classmates laughed,

thinking she was playing around.

The teacher quickly went to her,

and knew that she was gone.

She rushed the kids into the hall,

pleading help through the intercom.

The anguish it caused her parents,

I cannot begin to explain.

Their precious little daughter,

left them both in so much pain.

Love was sent in tender cards,

monetary gifts and notes.

Her teacher went to their home,

bringing letters her classmates wrote.

Loving emotions from each child,

not understanding why she died.

Their hearts were all broken,

each one of them had cried.

The day of the funeral,

the church overflowed.

A TV was put in the reception hall,

so all could be part of letting her go.

The service was amazing,

 people came from everywhere.

To say good-bye to this child of ten,

and show they truly cared.

 During the crowded service,

they played a tape of her they had.

She was singing with her mother,

it was a request from her dad.

Her mother sung in the background,

it was her own voice singing loud.

Touching each and everyone,

I'm sure she would be proud.

Laid to rest, her earthly body,

in a place next to my dad.

They are together in paradise,

no reason to be sad.

Now she sings to Jesus,

her best she does for Him.

Holding hands with my daddy,

 living eternally with them.

there are never enough words to express the true depth of our sympathies when someone loses a loved one, though we may stumble through words and try to console...it is difficult to say what it felt. Death and loss is new to me, and I understand how deeply it effects you...These deaths, the ones that have no definate reason or cause, these hurt the most and leave the echo of why riquocheting int he minds of everyone...for an infinate amount of time...there's no closure with no reasons...I am sorry for oyurloss, and wish you the best in the future, especially some peace from the memories that haunt...~genielassie~

    Samplette,
I am so sorry for your loss. I know it's not easy. I try looking at thing when some passed as we all have a reason to be here. When we all lose someone they must have did what they were put here to do. In returning home it must be a wonderful thing, for they have done what so many of us spend time on this earth trying to figure out how to do. "Why am I here?"
This is another excellent work of art from you!
Keep up the GREAT work samplette!
