Inside her hidden fear of discovery was disbelief
She never thought it could happen to her
But even the most sheltered puppy can bark
And she threw out her words
Shards of crystal propelled by explosive
Emotions
The valve of her propane tank was closed
And the pressure was just too much
She never meant for things to turn out this way
Secrets that weren’t hers to speak,
Lies uttered to her in confidence
Trust that until then had been well placed
As the molten flecks of metal fly
Shot off by the pressure of building gases
They strike out at all around
Not omitting herself
As her large rounded eyes pool with tears
And her body bleeds from her own mistake
She can’t remember what was said
Or who she’s hurt
And in therapy she didn’t know that
This excavation would leave craters
In her spirit

Her body became an archeology site

On the tip of your tongue, and in front of your eyes... What is it?

Phucking awesome. Loved this bit.
This excavation would leave craters
In her spirit
and this.
I got sort of lost in the midst of all the metaphors and meanings and morals but somewhere in between it all it's like I really almost understood it. I think your imagery is amazing, but your metaphors are a bit... I don't really know... Anyway, I really enjoyed the idea of actualization being like archeology- digging up truths you never really wanted to find. But I thought this could've used just a little more of a storyline. However pieces of it were just gorgeous... it just needs a bit of editing..
