I am all there is to know - I am all that you’ve forgotten
I am enigmatic now - you never even knew my name
I’m a whisper in the dark - I’m a victim and the killer
You insist I don’t exist
I want to buy back some old memories,
To awake some old qualities…
I am the void you choose – I am nothing now
I am somnolent – I have become nothing
I’m the scream in the ocean – I’m a useless gesture
You hear what I fear
This is becoming sad…
These memories are dying,
Are the best I’ve ever had.
I wait for the day to feel good,
The way everybody should…

an evocative line
"I want to buy back some old memories." I like the sound of it and it has a haunting quality to it though I am not quite sure what it means. But that's part of what poetry is all about. "These memories are dying, Are the best I've ever had." That's so very true with its feeling of regret and longing.
