I write upon a canvas in the clouds
painting love in rays of sunshine
dripping from my heart and
falling to embrace the world
I shower earth with spoken word
whispering secrets in the wind
replenishing all living things
through the art of poetry
War is not the answer to disaster
and I refuse to be a soldier
when I could become a writer
dropping rhymes instead of bombs
War is not the answer to disaster
and I refuse to be a soldier
when I could become a painter
painting pictures in love not blood
I dance through the trees for mother nature
holding hands with wilting flowers
kissing every plant with life
through movements of my whole body
I sing lullabies to thunder storms
to quiet every child's cry
and lure them to peaceful dreams
deep within their innocence.
War is not the answer to disaster
and I refuse to be a soldier
when I could become a writer
dropping rhymes instead of bombs
War is not the answer to disaster
and I refuse to be a soldier
when I could become a painter
painting pictures in love not blood
Please tell me what you think

I love these three lines:
I dance through the trees for mother nature
holding hands with wilting flowers
kissing every plant with life
You are an amazing poet.
