i checked my inbox again today
and found your message i knew not where
at least the one that says "hello"
or the one that says "i still am here".
i checked my inbox again today
and found nothing but all spam;
i missed the one that says "my dear
i am alive, and here i come".
i checked my inbox again today
and it contained nothing but an unwanted ad;
i missed the one that comes from you
to ease my sadness, to ease my blue.

Excellent
Very well penned by yourself indeed. A true reflection how certainly my email inbox can be. People walk in and out our lives for different reasons but its the ones who leave true footprints in our hearts that matter. I hope one day that this special person walks back in your life. Thanks for sharing .

I hear the tone of sadness in this and I also feel the hope. When we are waiting to hear from a loved one, whether it be email or any other form of communication we get frustrated as we hope the next message, letter, phone call or whatever will be them. This was a very good piece you wrote. Even without the use of capitalization throughout. Thank you for sharing with me and keep writing poet.

I think we all can relate to this. Very contemporary and I actually like your use or non-use of any capitals, its different.

this is a great poem. I know this situation all too well. I used to do this everyday, after he left. not one email, not one word.. nothing. it hurt really bad, and the sad thing is sometimes I still look. Hoping just maybe there will be something there. there never is..
thank you for sharing this with me. It helps to know that I am not the only who has experienced this.

I liked this. I think everyone has experienced receiving endless e-mails but not the one we are so hoping for.
I hope you get it..

I've read so much poems like this written about letters, so it's wonderful you took it to modern day and used e-mail as the source. I also like the message you brought out with this, how you can miss that one message you're actually waiting for so eagerly... It's a strange world we live in, our emotional life. Even scary sometimes. But that's the way things are.
Beautiful work!

email makes me want to scream!! i have so much junk. lol. but i don't think some people could live with out it . thanks for sharing !!

Time to switch email accounts as this is all that you are recieving. The best way is to lose what was really never there.I find this script intriguing because we are such info junkies and need a daily dose of email to help our ego.

hehehe. you're right

A very nice poem using modern ways of keeping in touch to illustrate pain and frustration. I can certainly identify with this, I practically run to my computer with trembling hands to hear from loved ones far away.
And I too am gutted when there is no messages.

contemporary at it's best...good job!
I think we could all relate, at how at one point in our
lives, not seeing that special message or a phone call,
and how wonderful it is to have the longing of love,
even though it is frustrating to take!
