FACTS:
1) Lately, out of the corner of my eye, i have been seeing flashes of light- rather like tiny comets, or a flashlight suddenly turning on and off. Or maybe a giant white firefly. In strange places, too- like out of windows, and arching over the rooftops of neighboring houses.
2) These past few weeks i've been staying up later than i've wanted. For no reason that i can figure out. I've just been avoiding sleep for as long as i possibly can, even when i'm tired... Wish i could stop.
3) It's too hot for October.
THEORIES/SPECULATION:
1) Perhaps i've got a brain tumor. Or maybe i'm developing latent psychic abilities, and the flashes i'm seeing are dead people. Maybe it's a message from my subconscious? Or someone else's.
2) It's a quarter to one in the morning as i write. Maybe i should just go to sleep?
3) Fucking Global Warming. The winter is starting later and later. Perhaps the seasons are shifting? Winter in the Northern Hemisphere is summer in the Southern Hemisphere; maybe they're switching- like the poles do. No, that's stupid- meteorologists and climatologists would've figured out that kind of shit. Don't you think?
NOTES:
- My fourth grade teacher said that only boring people are bored. I remember that made me feel pretty lousy, because i got bored sometimes. I still do.
I read somewhere that doodling repetitive patterns in the margin of your notebook means you're bored.
Incidentally, i was just drawing grids, arrows, and a series of symmentrical lines and curves in the margin here.
