feeding earth

i felt the speed around me
ego's diving and crashing
into one another
holding in their palms
for all to see
tiny bodies, broken
snapped- just below the head
crushed- around the abdomen
limbs shrunk- life sucked away

bag after bag of medical waste
the cliffs barely notice
as mistakes roll down its sides
soft hits, no blood to bruise
small rain-like bodies
connecting with the ground

no one notices
as babies dent the earth

My heart still mourns for you. I lost two grandchildren in a row in 2005. Some would actually express to me that the fetus that expels in the womb is not a grandchild for it was never born. I would ask how is it that I felt the joys of life just to see my daughter-in-law gain a few baby pounds and feel the flutter to loose it all. To be vanquished inside the womb has very little difference. No I was not blessed to physically hold those two unborn babies but I did hold them in my heart with anticipation.

You will forever be in my heart and mind dear friend. Please know that I miss you and keep you and your family in my prayers.

Much Love & Many Blessings ♥

    Welcome to All Poetry !

This sounds like a very dark piece but I have to admit I am not sure what you were saying here. Would be happy if you could explain this to me.
    Thanks so much for sharing.

*cough* Welcome to AllPoetry. I certainly hope you enjoy your stay here.

I must say, this was an extremely impacting poem. I am not sure if this is just meant to be a horror poem or if you are trying to make some sort of statement here, but that last line...my jaw dropped to the floor. Hell, my jaw went through the floor and my lower lip is jutting out the other side of the world. I am looking forward to reading more from you to see just what kind of poetry it is that you write.
    Write on.
