in and out, in and out
the waves crash and oh,
how beautiful this can be,
contemplating death at the bottom of the sea.
and the endlessness of the ocean is appealing
to my wicked sense of self-punishment;
oh, let's spend an eternity in a watery grave,
because it's calling, dear
it's calling and we need to answer.
opportunity knocks, love,
so let the water come over the rocks,
over our sanctuary and we can be
dolphins and merpeople and
everything will stay
perfect
[forever]
we can be together forever,
if only we dive deep.
&& it's coming now,
the waves are rising
are you with me, dear
or am i sitting pretty, wasting life
lonely on a rock,
dreaming beneath the ocean?
oh, love, where are you?
i'm [waiting]
[hoping]
[praying]
for you
to come and save me from this
self-inflicted demise
oh, love, where are you?
the waves are rising now
and i am falling
into eternity
alone.

deadpixie020,
I read your poem multiple times. I usually have something to suggest, but in this case I just want to say keep going. There has got to be more to this poem.
