The Troubles

They said we would never last but
The troubles are in the past

The time of hating is done
And we should love everyone

But we always loved each other
While brother fought brother

In the storm of this land where
Many have blood on there hands

Your God is the same as mine
Our lives are not out of time

They said we should not marry
But our love is so strong

And together we belong
Religion doesn't matter to you or me

Our souls are one and our love is free
We will do as we please we wont

Catch the decease of hate and destruction
We will stay together we are meant to be

A girl from the north a boy from the south
Now we are together  by word of mouth

Although there are a few minor grammatical and spelling errors with this piece I really do get what you are aiming for with this piece. It reminds me a lot of a poem called the Papisher and the Prod, can't remember who wrote it though. Yours is really great visual of how things should and should have always been, true love conquering all. Well done and thanks for entering my contest. Good luck.
