upturned
into falling tears
washing clean the canvas
upon which we paint our lives
gentle caressing rain
strokes down my face
trailing patterns
through the residue
of a days raw emotion
so tired I
lean my self into the soft
curtain of rain drops,
light footprints
dance upon my weary face
as the quiet beat
calms my mind,
a gentle lullaby
recalling childish nights
rain runnels down outstretched arms
gems of cool silver drip from glazed hair
bare feet dance lithe steps upon the earth
refreshed by the flow of life

I am a rain lover myself, and I love any write that's dedicated to rain..and yours was a gem, better than any other poem I have read in quite a long time. Simply beautiful.
