I was birthed from the womb of your Spirit
when you whispered my name and I became
your granddaughter.
Tears flooded this frame, colored my skin
in caramel hues rich with sustenance.
An honor I felt to feel your excitement of Life
within an already opened door
and the warmest Welcome sign
you hung with a golden nail;
hammer received from Higher Powers.
My voice suckled the nourishment
of empowerment your energy fed me
after my homecoming.
All negativity buried with broken quills
left in mulch as memory
by those wanderers who stopped dreaming.
My belly became bloated, full of Faith
after you said~ I Love You
Permananet birthmark recognized by everyone,
second glances I get from curious onlookers
whom I pass while on my travels.
In my Hope chest, the chance of a lifetime
you provided to Paradise at Allpoetry;
still intact, secured in a Sacred vault.
A spiritual spoon you used to feed
this hungry mouth with words that satiated
for I became another somebody with Soul;
you looked beyond my color.
Those who ventured before me, you immortalized
through columns and let your quill spill ink
with words on papyrus scrolls to live by.
Those who walked on path with Perseverance,
you immortalized, loved ones of Light
also Quoted their words of Wisdom;
your father I see with smile, so Proud.
I imagine them thanking you in Spirit~
while you continue to create
as they pat your back with Appreciation.
You humbled me with meaning, priceless
in its weight, massaged my broken back.
How I brag about stereotypes stricken down
by your unwavered might
where slurs, names to discriminate are of the past.
Your voice of victory carried across Elysium Fields.
Whatever happens, whatever tries to block your path~
I admire you, see you make a road for Seekers to walk;
blood, sweat and tear trails, stain the earth.
My Grandma~ Dreamer~ Guide with staff
who has arrived with Angelic entourage
for those who have fallen trying to find
their Holy Grail...

When I grow up,
I want to be just like you Grandma Renee.
I Love You~

as long as this brought for a smile
for that is wind beneath my wings I borrowed from You
