It was such a night as this,
I crept through the open window
of your peaceful home,
into your welcoming soul.
Alone in an empty world I sought after you,
found you,
melted into your heart, like
a feline friend melts into the coolest corners,
into the emptiest house,
to find a jewel
resting,
timid in the shadows
waiting for me.
Come to me in shivers of silence,
of our haven,
secluded and quiet.
I wait, silently,
for sweet applause
from your being,
as I enter through this casement,
on such a night.

Very fun
I love your write here and the picture to go with it. You can visualize your ownself with another in this poem, it opens it up for the imagination of the reader. Pure delight and refreshing to read your poem here. The title On Such A Night and than the first line
It was such a night as this and the last line on such a night completes the body of the poem as a whole. Thank you for sharing your gift to write poetry with me. Kelle Marie, stavykm

Intriguing write ...
I'm not a big fan of free verse, but this does work well enough. Not bad.
