He And My Obsession With Fire

Winters darkness invades my soul,
My demented mind cries out,
For the evil wrought by my lover,
My demon invader,
My dream,
I scream out for the pursuasive warmth of sunshine,
Mayhap I can put my pain to rest,
Burning it away with beauty,
The sun and the sand,
Waves on the beach,
Lifting and falling,
As the laughter of happy children abounds,
But no,
Not I,
Infinate desire burns within,
Impossible to satisfy,
My heart consumed,
All in pursuit of a shadow,
Children play in fields of lavender,
Never guessing the longing,
That one true passion can ignite,
Eternal damnation be damned,
It is an itch you can not scratch,
Unceasing,
And I wander,
Through light and dark,
Heaven and hell,
Seeking what I lost,
By a folly all my own,
Dismal,
I am told my sacrifice is all in vain,
And my longing for your embrace still lingers,
I am such a hardy fool,
I dreamt of you last night,
The whisper of violins fluttering,
Your words in my ear,
Promising tomorrows and forevers,
Fed me chocolate from your lips,
And I followed you,
We came to a wall of lillies,
You gave me a black rose,
Then over you climbed,
Leaving me behind,
And I awoke,
I found myself longing for the sea yet again,
For the spray of the waves crashing on shore,
Across my cheek,
The flight of sandpipers as they are scattered by small boys,
For the cloudless sky,
Later,
I stood beneath our tree,
That anchient oak,
The one we covered with seashells from our summer,
Hanging them as windchimes,
To scare off the ghosts and regrets you said,
I see why now,
And I sent your name into the wind,
On a slip of paper smudged with my tears,
You are gone from this world,
My dreams tell no lies,
And now I am free.

    Stunned to Speechlessness.

That is one of the best poems i have read in a LONG time, it left me breathless, and sent shivers up my spine. I honestly couldn't choose a favorite part, for it wouldn't be what it is without every word that is in there(just my personal oppinion) keep writing, from what I've read of your poems, you are extremely talented.
