Healing touch

Feelings brings pain anew,
although its pierce releases joy
that there are some, who care.

Times, amidst daily rush,
offer unexpected gifts,
providing treasures, once lived.

How wonderful these blessings
that fly the air, striking
the withered heart, soul’s thirst.

How amazing these journeys,
from a life, to another,
drenching, soul’s need.

Heart’s opened hurt, flowingly
healed, by gifts, human touch,
for those, like me, in need.

    Excellent

Nothing like Jesus with skin on, the priceless gift of a precious loving healing touch. Beautifully written.

Oh yes how we all need the gift of love. It is beautiful that you expressed your love back to someone who has touched your life with the gift of love. I also believe this is how we heal.
    Much Love

      Yes, its when

we learn to give rather than to receive that love is felt. Have a blessed day. Frans

Wow!!! What a beautiful poem you have penned. The touch of the human hand when our soul is crying out feels wonderful. Nothing more painful then to be in pain and be all alone. Thank you for sharing this thoughtful and tender poem. Bless you my friend. Sandy

This is such a sweet and bright poem. I am a healer myself and was delighted to read this. I especially like the ending:

    "flowingly healed by
    gifts of human touch."

    Blessings,

Before I read the comments I thought to myself... The man obviously knows Myra's touch. I have found through knowing her that if one heals wounded the soul the body will take care of itself. The poem itself is also reminds me of the literary techniques she uses. Congratulations on the HM and good luck in any future challenge.

    Sincerely,

This was beautiful. We are so afraid to touch, either with our hands, our hearts or words. There are so many people out there that are starving for attention. Great job with this and good luck in the contest.

    Beautifully penned!

Dearest Frans ... The human touch of healing is often needed after the human touch of hurting ... Someone once said: Everything touched by human hands is messed up. But your poem stressed the other touch: the healing touch. This is not something to be attained; it is inborn. It is a true gift. No time or distance can block its powerful flow.

I loved the alliterative elements in your poem. I also loved the gentleness of educative value ... a reminder so to speak that being human means also to be able to heal another by intense nurturing and care. I especially loved the word "flowingly", for it speaks of energy shared, living water, motion, connectivity and transition. It also indicates a heart overflown with love, and the ability to open up another in order to fill with the elixer of cure.

Thank you for starting my day with such an uplifting poem. It is always such a pleasure to read you.

    Love
    Myra

I can see that this person had a big impact on you and that your expression is sincere. You need a "through" in "blessings are that fly *through* the air." That's about all the critique I can offer on this; it's honestly not my style.
