The Sound of One
I've heard it asked a thousand times;
I can't care less my dear,
"If trees out in the forest fall
Does anybody hear?".
I also care not 'bout the sound
Of only one hand clapping
But sometimes wonder in the night
On sounds of one cheek crapping.
What sound would air make passing through
With no cheeks paired for parting?
What sound? What sound I must know now
From just one butt cheek farting?
The reason for this wondering
Is rooted in my past.
In Father saying to Mama,
"That there guy is half assed."

I resemble
that remark!

Not to worry Mr. Tilander for this poem is not
half assed for it shows as a brilliant and full..
full-moon rising over Uranus. I bend over and trumpet
in admiration...

"One hand clapping/one cheek crapping" is a fine concept. Unfortunately I just read another poem with the line "one bun flapping". I am not suggestingany collusion or worse on anyone's part, merely a joy that two great minds thought along similar lines.
I didn't understand the last line though, probably. -

Maybe it is a local saying.
When someone doesn't do a good job of something we say it is a 'half assed' job. A person who never does a good job is a 'half assed' person.
