haunted in ways

nurturing
protective...
responsible for all
and forgiven

her imperfections

she is the strongest

in her control

cannot allow herself

but denying one's frailty
one's weakness
does not make one
invincible
and in one moment of violence
her body failed her
giving in
where her mind would not

all her life
she sacrificed
feeling it to be
her duty
her role...

her death
