Living in this darkness
Finding distress in this
Life is nothing but the fear
Always running, frightened
Wandering alone in this life
I've chosen not to know you
I am just a fighter
Always fighting to stay alive
I can get close to no one
Always protecting everyone
The world upon my shoulders
I am the strong man
The heavy lifter
Head high atop of shoulders
I always stand tall
Never to ever fall
The world is just abuse
Filled with hate and mistrust
I walk with it all behind me
Fearing absolutely nothing
I sometimes feel I could fall
Drop the world to shatter
Releasing all the dangers and fears
Breathe the poison in the air
And watch me perish
This strong man
Holding the world on my shoulders
Your Atlas fearing nothing
But in what lies on my back
Sometimes you feel as something
Then the next you feel as nothing
Holding the world on my shoulders
Your Atlas fearing nothing
But in what lies on my back

Hey! Great work on this poem! And an interesting angle chosen to express yourself! I like the way that you use Atlas to describe your struggles with fear an responsibility. Fantastic work on the flow of the poem, and also, on the clarity with which you expressed your thoughts. Bravo!
