The raindrops fall on the window,
Crushing like an embittered sun
They bow down in honor of us
Now that we truly are one
The kitten rubs against my foot,
Hair realeased into the air
Hesitantly I kiss you
You, who are so fair
The bed ran out of sheets last night,
As they were drenched with wet
Happy choruses salivate
Over the decision set
Falling deeper inside,
Of the hollow tomb
Branded with a joyful song
Chasing away fear and doom
Ghosts all at once,
Come make themselves alive
And then the tears go away
From determined eyes
Treasure chest awaited,
Memories all forgotten
Love never let die
Hugs softer than cotton
The copper doorhandle turns slowly,
Breaths come anxiously now
Outside the snow on the ground
Pushed about by the monstrous plow
The ditches are filled with melting white,
Puddles here and there
And knowing you love me holds me tight
Love by one so fair

this is intense... the comparisons and contrasts are quite creative and unique... I love the title... there is a lot of ambiguity to this piece, it can be taken many ways, I feel, I like that about this piece... I like that it seems, to me, to be about the dual nature of relationships in general, but speaks of their positive aspects... I am not certain if the rhyme left out in some stanzas is intentional and in some places, the wording throws me off a bit, but the general idea comes across loud and clear and I like the message... thank you for sharing this entry in my contest!
