Torn

Torn between myself and I,
Confused by who I am,
Lost in the middle,
Searching for an answer,
Looking with blind eyes,
Hearing with deaf ears,
Breathing nothing,
Lost within me,
Torn in half,
Good vs. Evil
Knowing the answer,
But still too blind to see,
Darkness hides any light,
Hope is cloaked in fear,
Separated by myself,
Drowned in my incompleteness,
Left broken, Never Whole
Living Torn

    Fabtastic!!

This is powerfully deep, trying to find ones self is no easy task. You have also touched upon the dark side, giving the poem, an edge.

    Darkness hides any light,
    Hope is cloaked in fear,

Two lines that really stood out for me, outstanding!

Thank you. I am really glad you enjoyed this one. I most of the time live in this torn state of mind but one day I will find rest,

Damn, I know what that is like. I've actually written a piece like this, though I talked about how clouded things are and unable to see the right path. I like this though.

To touch upon a word darkness, It is such a fine line to demonstrate and nobody knows what you can truly hide in darkness. " Hope is cloaked in fear" This line has an expression so great and adventurous. To see how you describe a growing urgency to find yourself both on the inside and on the out, very deep writing and so powerful. I could almost escape in this poem to pinpoint such a fine illusion that we have set out to find. Great writing!

    It is hard to live
    in opposing worlds--
one of light and one of
    darkness , and you said
    it well.."Torn"
    Outstanding!!
