My Birth

It seems so long ago,
But fresh on my mind,
I remember back to that time,
In the womb so warm,
Kind and gentle I lay,
Waiting on the day of birth,

I could hear your voice so soft,
Vibrating my senses,
Love flowed to me,
Nourishing me so tenderly,
At that time I had no words,
For they still had not formed,
I would speak to you, mother;
With each moment I made,

Saying I love you,
Looking forward to experience,
All you had to offer,
Waiting till time to be born,
This world of the womb,
It was my magical place,
Safe and secure from all pain,
I sat waiting on the hour,
Then it finally came,

The minute had arrived,
For me to begin,
I could feel your pressure,
Understanding your pain,
I was being squeezed,
Into a new world to gain,
I feel a little scared,
Not knowing if I will be good enough,
Hoping for your satisfaction,
I say a prayer,

I feel you bearing down upon me,
Trying to free me from your womb,
I hear your cry and fear well up inside me,
Not knowing what to do,

Everything seemed to come so naturally,
I went with the pressure and relaxed,
Slowly I began to see a light,
The tunnel looked so small,
I did not know if I would fit,
But I knew I must go,
As I go through that door,
Breath of air fills my lungs,
Hearing a voice cry, it is I

Not wanting to open my eyes,
For fear of what I would see,
Then I push them all aside,
Your soft face I see smiling at me,
They lay me in your arms,
I lay wet from my nest,
The coldness of birth left,
When your arms I feel,
Your warm kiss upon my head,
I feel love and no fear,
Today I was born,
I will remember always,
The life I feel

    Brilliant!!

Such an awesome write! I am certain that birth would be like this, if any of us could remember that far back. You have really got in touch with the subject and rolled with it, superb. It held my attention all the way through, which is a task in itself..lol. Amazingly put!

Wow, indeed this was well written. Now only if I could remember that far back... But you described what a child would probably say/think while in there, and how exactly it would feel. Marvelous.
