'scuse me mr. sky

Blue blue sky who made you?
mommy says He is up there,
that my daddy is in you watching,
as an angel flying through the air.
dylan says you're non- ex ex existant,
he is big so he should know.
but if daddy is not in heaven,
can you tell where did he go?
the world is a big big place,
and i'm not allowed to cross the street.
mommy said that daddy,
would never ever go.
that he went because he had to,
'cause his father called him home.
sometimes i think,
inside,
why would poppy take daddy?
'cause i think i need him more.
mommy said my daddy loved me,
and he is keeping me real safe,
but sometimes i'm afraid.
if poppy needed my daddy,
will he need my mommy next?

Author notes

Option 4
1.world
2.heaven
3.angel
4.non-existant
5.never

to clarify, the use of "non- ex ex existant" is my version of a small boy trying to repeat a big word he heard from an older, more mature source.

This poem is completely amazing. The last line was like the icing on the cake. It begs for answers. The last line was my absolute favorite part. I almost cried when I read this poem. It's breathtaking.

    Dear Poet,
I've re-opened the contest for two days as others asked as well. As far as this poem goes, I like it and if you'd please put the option name in author's
notes, I'd be pleased to add this to finalist.
    Thank you
    liquid

    Dear Poet,
Thank you for entering IS THERE A GOD & WHAT IS IT
    contest.
The rules state that you must place the Option Name and number in author's notes. If you get this done
shortly, before I judge, I will enter this piece, read it and comment.
    Thank you,
    liquid
