"Bold and Brave"

Whenever I am at my lowest,
I become bold.
Whenever I am most afraid,
I become brave.

What is boldness?
it is my shield.
What is bravery?
it is my mask.

Whenever I feel threatened,
I am bold.
Whenever I am scared to be alone,
I am brave.

Inside I am really,
a shy little girl.
I am really scared,
I am afraid of having nobody.

I feel so all alone,
no one to love me.
no one who cares,
come, touch me if you dare.

    This was an excellent write ! I would say it took alot of guts to spill out because you let your vunerable side show and thats what makes this poem such a sad blessing to read .
    Its honest and done with feelings deep yet simple!
    We all feel at times the need for love and yes we all where mask most of the time to keep from getting hurt!

    Wow, I just read your page to get a better sense of the meaning behind this. I get the feeling that life has been cruel and unfair to you, but somehow you have persevered, like myself it looks as if you use writing as a release and comfort. If it wasn't for that ..who knows what could happen. Great write and take care.

    awwww I get this feeling too. I'm not so much afraid to be alone as I'm afraid of never ever ever finding someone to connect with but I think I could also live my life without that connection. Beautiful write.
