the teacher
the teacher spoke and taught
used more than words
more than words were brought
he did not waken small birds
in darkened trees or black crows
milling about a dry brown field
but the soldier which homeward throws
upon the fire his rage his shield
for all the careless battle’s lost woes
which weigh the mind with fears
held captive in a life of frost
now released with joyful tears
a raptor rising upon bright wings
for joy aloud its own name sings

this is simply brilliant, everything about it.
Firstly the form is really good, you have really refined the flow down and the enjambment is used to stunning effect.
The teacher just appear at first like this really soft and caring and intellectual but humble person and the way you contrast that against the soldier i thought was brilliant...
again the choice of words, the whole lingustics of the poem are unbelivable!
