You kept me warm when I was cold
You held me tight and I was sold
I always treasured the warmth you gave
And our love I thought we could actually save
But the words were false your love a lie
And I could do nothing but wait for you Good bye
Your kisses became bitter, your hug became ice
I knew this would be over with a roll of the dice
I waited and sat in the darkness alone
It happened you left now I'm chilled to the bone
Then I sleep I dream I've come back to the sun
When I awake it takes off at a run
My tears have become my own sweet silent lullaby
And it seems come morning they did not die
This happens when I think of you
God please make this stop, What am I to do?

Great
This is a great write, I love the rhythmic flow you have going. I feel a lot will relate to the way you have expressed your emotion. I know I do, especially the last line. Best of luck in the contest! -
