Black And White

I have been wathcing the world
Through stained glass windows,
A colorful spectacle of awe-
But now I have pulled the shades down...
As I sit with my eyelids shut,
I reminis why I ever opened them.
THough the pain of this nation
Corodes the being of peace,
Beauty still breathes beneathe.
So many unanswered questions
Taunt our process of thought,
But sleeping in the depths of contemplation,
The mystery is a gorgeous landscape.
Perhaps drama is too exhausting,
And time cares too little...
Ignorance seems too easy,
But it's temporary bliss may be best.

Author notes

This is what I come up with when I want write but can't think of anything...

this poem has a clever flow and nice touch to it...

I don't think you need the "but it's" on your last
line allow the words after it to breathe their beauty
by standing on their own....definitely strong enough
    to do that!

gluttons do not fear the quiet
    contemplations that emit powerful poetry
    or
    the nasty spell check button!
    My nemesis of disbelief.

On your poet page is the Group Gluttons for Punishment,
click on it, go to the very bottom of the page
to where it says add..poem to list.

    Put this on the list
    for everyone to enjoy!
    ears/Seattle
    well done!

Wow. This is the kind of poem you write when you have writer's block? This is amazing. The part of pulling the shades seemed like a metaphor. Like, in society when something terrible happens, like war or some other tragedy, people may want to just keep living life and not try to worry about it too much so they will try living life in their own tiny bubble so as to have bliss, even if it's only for a day and not be concerned with the issues of the world. I loved this poem. Well done.
